Q) How do I place an order? A) Before an order can be placed, you will need to fill out the custom order form. This is to see if I am available for your date. If your requested date is unavailable, I will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and to see if we can work something out. If your date is available, I will reach out with further information.
Q) What else do you offer besides decorated cookies? A) I occasionally offer drop cookies, cookie cakes, and cupcakes. Most times, you can find these during our seasonal flash sales.
Q) Do you offer refunds? A) If you reach out to cancel you order with AT LEAST 10 days prior to pick up, a partial refund will be given. If you reach out with less than 10 days til pick up, a refund will NOT be given. By this point, supplies have already been bought. Orders due within the week of booking will not be refunded.If an order has been cancelled and cookies have already been made, no refund will be issued. Any cookies not picked up within 24 hours, unless another arrangement has been made, will be forfeited and nonrefundable.
Q) Can you ship or deliver cookies? A) Maddy Bakes Waco operates under Texas Cottage Food Laws. Under these laws, shipping cookies is prohibited. Cookies are available for pickup in Lorena. For an extra fee of $5, I will personally deliver cookies.
Q) Do you offer gluten free or nut free cookies? A) Not at this time.
Q) Can I have a preview of my cookies before I confirm my order? A) Unfortunately, no. I will use the theme, colors, and any specific details that you provide me to the best of my ability to design a set for your event. If there is a specific design you would like, please include it in the specifications section of the custom order form. Please note that I will try to make your cookies as similar to any design you provide to the best of my ability.
Q) How do I pay for my cookies? A) For custom orders, please refer to the 'Custom Inquiries' page. For online orders, payment is due upon ordering.
Q) What do I do if I need to reschedule my order? A) If you need to reschedule your order, please email me as soon as you can. I will let you know your order can be moved to a new date. If I am unable to do so, you will be given the option of keeping your original date. If you think the cookies will be stale by your event, don't worry. You can freeze your cookies!
Q) Can I freeze my cookies? A) YES! In order to freeze them, you will need to carefully place your packaged cookies on their sides in a container. To thaw them, make sure to set them out 24 hours in advance. It is very important that you do not open the container until they are fully thawed, as condensation could potentially ruin your cookies!
